Fibre Optic Cabling
The speed of light between your buildings, floors and equipment.
Building-to-building links, backbone runs, industrial environments: fibre optics eliminates distance and bandwidth limits. Our teams splice, test and certify every strand.
What you get
Pro-grade splicing and terminations
Precision fusion splices, tested with an OTDR reflectometer and delivered with a complete certification report.
Building-to-building links
Connect your buildings, warehouses and gatehouses via aerial or underground runs — no more unstable wireless links.
Demanding environments
Factories, corrosive settings, long distances: fibre is immune to electromagnetic interference.
Guaranteed scalability
Infrastructure ready for 10, 40 or 100 Gbps — your network grows without recabling everything.
How it works
A simple, transparent process with no commitment until you approve.
Feasibility study
Analysis of the route, existing conduits and permits required for your project.
Installation and fusion splicing
Pulling, fusion splicing and connection to active equipment by our certified technicians.
OTDR certification
Every strand tested and documented, with a warranty on labour and materials.

Frequently asked questions
- When should I use fibre optic instead of copper cabling?
- Fibre optic is recommended for building-to-building links, distances over 100 m, environments with electromagnetic interference (factories, transformers) and applications requiring 40 Gbps or more. It costs slightly more to install but never needs replacement for decades.
- Can you connect distant buildings with fibre optic in Quebec?
- Yes. Our technicians carry out aerial or underground inter-building runs up to several kilometres. We handle permit applications and coordination with municipal authorities or landowners along the route.
- What is an OTDR test and why does it matter?
- An OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) measures every fibre strand to detect attenuations, bad splices and breaks. Groupe Miracom delivers a full OTDR report at the end of every project: it is your guarantee that the installation is compliant.
